Policies/Frequently Asked Questions

Classes & Crops

Do you have classes or crops?

Yes, yes we do! Just check out our Class Schedule here.

Can my girlfriend and I come to your store and scrap during the day? Is there a charge to use your space?

Sure you can! There is no charge for the space but you can only use it during non-class/organized crop hours. We also have planned crop parties on Friday nights and, for a small fee, you can use our space with 11 other crafters and get dinner, snacks and a Make and Take project. Check our Class scehdule for the dates of those.

Do I need to bring anything to class with me?

Yes. For all classes, you will need a basic class kit which consists of a paper trimmer, scissors, black marker, pencil, black ink pad, bone folder and adhesive. Some classes require extra tools or supplies, so be sure to check your class descriptions carefully so that you are prepared for class.

Is there a minimum attendance for your classes and crops?

Yes there is. In order to offer a class, we need an attendance of 4 or more people. The day before a class, if we have less than 4 people signed up, we will call and cancel the class. It is unfortunate but it does happen, so bring a friend. For crops, because we need to order food and plan a project, we check our attendance 48 hours before and if there are less than 5 people signed up to attend, we cancel. The late hours, staff and food is really only possible with 5 or more people, so again, bring a friend or two. This is really the absolute last thing we want to do.

Do you ever cancel your classes and crops?

Unfortunately sometimes we do. If we do not have a high enough attendance or an instructor is sick, we may need to cancel a class or crop. This is as upsetting to us as it is you, so we try to avoid it at all costs.

There is a class I want to take but it is full, is there a waiting list?

Yes, we take names for a waiting list for each class should it fill up. If anyone cancels, we then try to accommodate the people on the list in the order they signed up.

Can I bring my child to class/crop with me?

Sure, if she's 13 years or older and you are accompanying her. Anyone under the age of 16 is required to have an adult present during classes and crops. We only allow children under the age of 13 in the classroom during kids' classes. For safety reasons and the comfort of all our fellow crafters, we find that this policy works best for everyone.

Returns & Refunds

I bought something in your store and now realized it doesn't match my project, can I return it?

All returns must be accompanied by a receipt within 14 days of sale and in the original packaging only. Sorry, we do not accept returns on open stock items (non-packaged) such as rolled stickers, ribbon by the yard, pens, books, or paper.

I signed up for a class and now I can't make it, can I get a refund?

You can get a full refund if it is 48 hours or more before the scheduled class time. If it is less than 48 hours, then there will be no refund. If you do need to cancel, please call as soon as possible so that we may accommodate anyone on our waiting list.

I ordered some items online and would like to return them, how do I do that?

We do not accept returns for items purchased online at this time. If there was an error with your order, please contact us, so that we can quickly resolve any issues you may have!

Product Questions

I am new to scrapbooking, what do I do? Buy?

Well, my first first suggestion is to sign up for a Scrapbooking Basic Skillz class. This class will shine the light on some basic techniques and also show you some necessary tools. This is a great place for beginners. If you don't have time for the class, just ask an employee; they are always happy to show you around the store and give you a little advice. We're here to help; just ask!

I really wanted Karate paper and you don't have any, do you think you ever will?

Maybe. We love suggestions from our customers and although we are unable to carry it all (we wish we could), we try to accommodate people as best we can.

Employment

Are you hiring teachers?

Maybe. At the moment we are definitely looking for a few good instructors to share their talents. If you have some crafting/teaching experience, please email us with some samples of your work or a link to your online gallery or blog.
